Rental Information

Event Type

The FPH is available to rent for the following events:

  • birthday parties 
  • graduation parties
  • wedding showers
  • baby showers
  • family reunions
  • class reunions
  • memorial gatherings


We do not host weddings at this time.


Want to host an event not listed?  Please send us an inquiry!  We love to host when we can!

Rental Pricing

  • $60/hour ($50 for memorial gatherings)
  • minimum of 3 hours (max of $420 dollars)
  • $200 deposit is due to secure your event date
  • rental fee is due, in full, two weeks before event
  • set-up and clean-up times need to be included in the time reserved
  • tables and chairs are available to rent for $10/set (1 table & 6 chairs), up to 10 sets
  • if you would like the tables and chairs to be set up for you, an additional hour will be charged ($60/$50)

Deposit

A deposit of $200 will secure your event date. 


The deposit is refundable if there is no damage to the house or grounds and if the event does not

exceed contracted hours.

Any theft, spillage requiring professional cleaning, or other damage to the house/grounds, or exceeding contracted hours, will constitute forfeiture of the entire deposit.


Any refund will be returned to the renter within thirty (30) business days following the event.

Special Considerations

Guests of The Foreman Prairie House should respect its age and historic status, taking special precautions to help preserve the house and grounds, furnishings, and museum exhibits.


In acknowledgment of these special considerations, guests should observe the following:


1) No alcohol is allowed in the house or on the entire property.

2) No smoking/vapor or open flames are allowed in the house or on the entire property.

3) Decorations cannot be placed on the walls or woodwork as it peels away when taken off.
4) Children should be supervised at all times and instructed to observe “Museum Manners”.

5) All food and beverages should be kept downstairs.

6) The FPH Checkout Checklist should be used as the renter’s guideline for closing procedures at the

end of the event.

Cancellation

Cancellation of the event within the last two-week period prior to the appointment date will result in forfeiture of the entire payment.
